What it does
United Commercial Bank’s UCB One connects Bangladesh bank accounts with transfers, utility payments, mobile recharge and card controls. Customers can also generate a code for cardless cash withdrawal at supported UCB ATMs. Internet banking access is free, while transfer and underlying account charges depend on the service used.
Transfers and household payments
UCB One supports transfers between your own accounts, to other UCB customers and to other Bangladesh banks through BEFTN, NPSB or RTGS. Its payment catalog includes utilities, education fees, insurance, merchant payments and mobile recharge.
The different transfer routes have different charges. UCB's schedule effective May 11, 2026 lists:
| Service | Published fee |
|---|---|
| Internet banking access | Free |
| BEFTN transfer | Free |
| NPSB transfer through UCB One | BDT 10, including VAT |
| RTGS transfer | BDT 100, including VAT |
An underlying savings account can still incur a half-yearly maintenance charge. The standard savings charge is waived at an average balance of BDT 10,000 or less, then ranges from BDT 100 to BDT 300 before applicable VAT as balances increase. Debit-card and SMS services have their own charges and product-specific exemptions.
Cards and cash
The app's card controls include activation, PIN changes, blocking, transaction limits, contactless settings and foreign-use settings. Cash by Code creates a withdrawal code for a supported UCB ATM when you do not have the physical card.
Use the UCB One link on the bank's site to reach the digital service. UCB advertises a paperless account-opening route there, alongside access for existing customers. The account and transfer services are built around banking in Bangladesh.
