UNIQLO's alteration option can change how a trouser purchase should be planned. Eligible product pages show the option beneath the sizes, allowing a choice of stitch and shortened inseam. The US help page recommends measuring trousers whose fit is already suitable before making that selection. Some stitch types are limited to selected denim, and alterations are available only for UNIQLO items. The important limit is finality: altered products cannot be exchanged or returned, and the alteration length or type cannot be changed after the order is completed. Decide on fit before adding the alteration.
