What it does

Untitled UI supplies a Figma UI kit and a related React component collection. Its resources cover reusable styles, variables, components and page examples for application and website design.

Untitled UI connects a Figma design kit with React components built around Tailwind CSS and React Aria. The Figma PRO purchase includes three editions: PRO VARIABLES for variable-based design, PRO STYLES without those variables, and the smaller PRO LITE kit. A free Figma edition supplies basic styles, components and a smaller set of page examples.

For React, the CLI can create a Next.js project with npx untitledui@latest init --nextjs. Choose the project name and brand palette, then add individual components through the CLI or copy their code from a component page. Updates using the --overwrite option replace the local component copy, so commit custom changes before updating.

Free Figma and React editions are available for ongoing use. Paid products are one-time purchases with lifetime updates: Solo covers one user, Studio up to eight and Business up to twenty; Enterprise covers unlimited users within an organization. Sign in with the purchase email to access paid files and updates. The Figma software plan is separate from the kit purchase.

The licence permits unlimited personal and commercial end products but restricts sharing assets with unlicensed people and redistributing them as kits, templates or competing libraries. Anyone directly accessing a published Figma library counts toward the permitted users.

Strengths

  • Figma and React resources connect design and implementation workflows.
  • Separate Figma editions support variables, traditional styles or a smaller starting kit.
  • React components can be copied into a project and edited directly.

Watch out for

  • Shared asset access is limited by the purchased user licence.
  • CLI updates with --overwrite replace local component customizations.

Best for

  • Teams developing interface designs alongside React implementation
