What it does
Anvil provides PDF filling and generation, web forms, signatures, and document workflows. Its document tools turn existing PDFs into templates that applications can populate with collected or stored data.
Map an existing PDF for filling, or generate a new PDF from HTML/Markdown data. The SDK example returns binary PDF data, which must be saved without text encoding. Dashboard and shared-link workflows have free access, while production API or integrated usage requires metered billing enabled with a card or a suitable plan. Current pricing describes starter fill/generation credits, rather than an established recurring allowance. Development-key tests are unlimited but watermarked and rate-limited. An integrated workflow that collects signatures can incur both submission and completed signature-packet usage.
Strengths
- Combines data collection, PDF population, and signature workflows.
Watch out for
- Production API use requires metered billing; a signed workflow can consume both submission and signature usage.
Best for
- Applications automating forms that become completed and signed PDFs
