What it does

Pixie combines recurring practice workflows, responsibility tracking and client records with a portal for documents, tasks and signatures. Accounting teams can put checklists, training links and client requests inside a job. Subscriptions include unlimited users and vary by client count; a 30-day trial is available.

Pixie breaks an accounting job into stages with a named person responsible for each step. Client dates can start jobs automatically, and internal target dates provide a working deadline before the external due date. Custom client fields and a correspondence timeline keep context nearby.

Collect documents as part of the job

Open a job's Client Tasks, add the instructions and any attachments, then save. Preview the email and keep the client-task link in it. Set the reminder interval and use Update auto-reminder to apply it. Pixie sends up to four reminders unless the task is completed first.

Clients open their link with a passphrase, attach files or use the task's chat, then choose All Done. Staff can also mark a request completed. For example, a bookkeeping job can contain a bank-statement request beside the internal reconciliation checklist, so its owner can see what is still missing.

Email subtasks can send automatically when they belong to scheduled recurring work. A non-recurring job uses a manual email step, so copying the checklist into a one-off job does not make its email automatic.

Client bands, trial and refunds

Pixie's monthly selector lists $129 for fewer than 250 clients, $199 for 251 to 500, and $329 for 501 to 1,000, each with unlimited users. More than 1,000 clients requires a quote. Confirm the applicable band with Pixie if you have exactly 250 clients, which the displayed ranges do not cover.

The trial lasts 30 days. Pixie reviews client-count pricing quarterly for monthly subscriptions and before renewal for annual subscriptions. Its yearly plans do not receive full or partial refunds. Monthly refund requests are handled under its separate refund policy.
