What it does

User Interviews provides research recruitment from its panel or a team’s own participant hub. Targeting, screener surveys, scheduling, incentive payments and collaboration tools handle the administration around interviews, usability tests and surveys. Recruit has pay-as-you-go and subscription options; Research Hub manages studies with your own users.

Start with Recruit when you need participants from the User Interviews panel. Define the audience, add a screener and connect the research or meeting tool you will use. Scheduling, quotas and incentives stay with the project. The public feasibility calculator can estimate the audience available for your criteria without a login; launching a study requires a researcher account.

Choose Research Hub for your existing customers. Its Workflow plan handles invitations, screeners, scheduling and payments, starting with three researcher seats. Hub CRM adds a stored participant panel, segments, invitation rules and API connections, with unlimited seats and a starting allowance of 1,000 contacts. Collaborators can help with assigned projects but cannot launch their own.

Recruit charges by completed participant session, either as you go or through an annual subscription. A focus group with several participants uses several sessions. Incentives are extra, and automatic incentive distribution adds a 3% processing fee. Subscription overages use the pay-as-you-go rate. Research Hub is quoted separately and normally billed annually; a limited trial can be arranged through sales.

Strengths

  • Panel recruitment and an own-audience hub support different participant sources
  • Screeners, scheduling and incentives can be coordinated in one platform
  • A public feasibility calculator helps check audience availability before signup

Watch out for

  • Participant incentives are separate from recruitment fees
  • Automatic incentive distribution adds a 3% processing fee
  • Recruit subscription overages are charged at the pay-as-you-go rate

Best for

  • Researchers and operations teams managing study recruitment
  • Teams maintaining an opt-in panel of their own customers
