What it does
UX Project Checklist is a free, open-source checklist covering research, planning, wireframes, interface design and evaluation. Each topic has a short prompt and further reading, with printing and optional Google Drive synchronization.
The checklist groups work into stages from Research and Plan through Create, Give feedback and Analyse. Individual boxes cover topics such as user flows, error messages, responsiveness and KPI setup. Check the relevant items as you go, or use Print for a paper copy; Reset clears the checklist.
The checklist works without an account and saves its state in the browser. Optional Sign in with Google synchronization creates a file in your Google Drive so the checklist can be shared across connected devices. The project’s sharing instructions use that Drive file, with collaborators connecting their own Google accounts.
The code is available on GitHub under GPL-3.0. The main value is a compact set of prompts and reading links: checking an item is a manual record of your progress.
Strengths
- Prompts connect several stages of UX work.
- Further-reading links provide context for individual checklist topics.
- The checklist can be printed or used locally without an account.
Watch out for
- The optional cross-device sync and sharing require Google accounts.
Best for
- Designers tracking the stages of a UX project
- Teams wanting a printable set of project prompts
