What it does
VEGAS Pro combines nonlinear video editing with colour, audio, titles and effects. Its current site places the editor within the Boris FX product family.
Use the flexible timeline to assemble a cut, or edit a transcript when selecting spoken material. Reframing and masks can then adapt an interview for another aspect ratio or isolate a correction before export. Check the actual Boris FX bundle rather than assuming every promoted companion tool belongs to every offer.
The current requirements page specifies Windows 11 and at least 16 GB RAM, with different recommendations for 4K and AI work. It documents imports such as H.264/H.265, ProRes and RAW camera formats, and common file/project exports. Starting the app uses a Boris FX account; the advertised full-feature trial lasts 15 days.
Strengths
- Editing and finishing functions are presented within one application.
