What it does

Vervoe is a skills-assessment platform for recruitment and workforce evaluation. It supports job simulations and written, spreadsheet, code and video responses, with automated grading and connections to applicant tracking systems.

Choose work that exposes a skill the team needs to discuss. A support-ticket simulation can show a response to a customer, while a spreadsheet exercise can reveal how someone handles supplied data. Vervoe can draft an assessment from a job description; check its tasks and scoring criteria against the actual role before inviting applicants.

In Select, open a candidate's name to inspect their card. The team score averages human grades; rank compares candidates within the current pool. Review the answers and select Grade Answers to enter scores from zero to ten. The overall result recalculates. Exact question scores appear for manual grading, while automated grades show ranges. Suggested follow-up questions become available once scoring is complete.

Request commercial terms for the required assessment scope. Signed service agreements specify the amount, usage term and payment schedule in an order form. Online subscriptions follow different renewal and cancellation provisions. Enterprise arrangements can include a developer connection, called an API, and assessments carrying your own branding. Employer users register an account under their company's name.

Strengths

  • Supports job simulations and several practical response formats.
  • Lets reviewers inspect the work behind scores and add human grades.

Watch out for

  • Automated question grades display score ranges rather than the exact scores shown for manual grading

Best for

  • Recruiting teams designing work-sample assessments for professional or high-volume hiring
