What it does
VSDC Video Editor is a nonlinear editor for layered video, colour adjustments, effects, titles and audio work.
Combine video, graphics, text and audio in layered scenes, then use colour tools and export profiles for the delivery format. The Windows Free editor's page explicitly advertises 4K export without watermarks or export-time limits.
Pro is a separate upgrade with tools such as motion tracking and stabilisation. Proxy workflows are also described in the wider editor profile, but check the specific edition when a project depends on an advanced tool. VSDC's standalone conversion utilities are separate products.
Strengths
- Layered editing supports picture-in-picture and other composite layouts.
- Proxy workflows are documented for demanding footage.
