What it does
U-NEXT groups films, television series, anime and live-sport categories alongside a separately presented reading catalogue.
Separate the monthly included catalogue from titles marked for points or individual payment. U-NEXT's monthly plan supplies an included viewing selection and a points allowance, but a point title can still incur an extra charge. Points are applied first, with the remaining amount charged through the registered payment route.
Rentals have a viewing deadline, while purchases remain accessible after cancelling the monthly plan as long as the account is retained. Service use is limited to Japan. Eligible films downloaded in the U-NEXT app can be watched abroad within their download-playback period, which the travel guide says is up to 48 hours from the start of downloading.
