What it does
ViewDNS.info groups DNS records, propagation, reverse lookups, IP history, traceroute and other Internet diagnostics in one suite.
ViewDNS combines record lookups, historical and reverse-IP research with active diagnostics, so keep the chosen tool with the finding. Its traceroute runs between ViewDNS and the remote host, while global ping samples the provider’s locations; neither reproduces every user’s route. For automation, the DNS Record Lookup API takes an account API key and domain, with an optional record type that defaults to ANY. Output defaults to JSON and can be XML. API subscriptions cover the suite’s APIs, but check the current allowance before a recurring integration. Historical IP or reverse relationships still need verification as current evidence.
