What it does
Virto Commerce provides a modular commerce engine and portal and marketplace capabilities. It connects catalog, orders, inventory, and content with existing business systems and supports deployment in the customer's cloud or Virto Cloud.
A shared commerce backend can serve several storefronts or a specialized buyer portal. Virto brings catalog, content, orders, and inventory into that architecture, with connections to ERP, PIM, and CRM systems. Identify which system owns each record and which experience the buyer or supplier needs before selecting the modules.
Deployment can use your own cloud or Virto Cloud. The implementation team needs to define who maintains the platform and its connections. Authentication options include username and password, single sign-on through Azure AD or Google, and two-factor authentication; choose the arrangement that fits the people using the portal.
Subscription proposals can use gross merchandise value or order count. The published starting scope includes 10,000 SKUs, so give the sales team both catalog size and expected transaction volume. Implementation and third-party subscriptions add to the licence cost. Compare the complete operating arrangement, including connected systems, when budgeting the launch.
