What it does
Omniscope Evo combines data preparation, analytical methods and interactive reporting. It runs locally or on a server, with a browser interface and optional Python, R and JavaScript extensions. Its free edition is for noncommercial projects; business reporting, sharing and automation use paid plans.
An Omniscope project keeps its data-preparation workflow and interactive reports together. It can combine files and database inputs, apply transformations and show the results through charts. Built-in analysis includes clustering, seasonality, basket analysis and forecasting.
| Edition | Main scope |
|---|---|
| Free | Noncommercial use; 3 projects and 10,000 records |
| Pro | Unrestricted processing, collaboration and server deployment |
| Business | Report publishing, editor/viewer roles and custom analysis extensions |
| Enterprise | Unlimited concurrent viewers, white-label embedding and broader automation |
Pro is GBP 59 per seat/month with annual billing, or GBP 69 when paid monthly. Seats are licensed per installation and can represent concurrent access. AI and automation options have separate terms; AI-provider usage is billed by the provider.
Using Insight Explorer
Install Omniscope and launch Evo. Its interface opens in your browser even when the software runs locally. You can skip trial registration to use the noncommercial Free edition.
With a licence that includes Insight Explorer, open Admin > AI Settings, add your provider's API key and choose the models available to users. Enable Insight Explorer, assign its default model and apply the settings. Create a project with a dataset, connect it to an Insight Explorer report template and open that report.
Ask a question about the data. The answer can include charts, intermediate results and details of the queries or transformations used. A useful generated chart can then be added to the report.
Strengths
- Keeps preparation logic and interactive reports in one project.
- Lets analysts reuse charts and transformations produced by Insight Explorer.
Watch out for
- The Free edition is restricted to noncommercial projects and limited data volumes.
- AI features can require an add-on plus separately billed model-provider usage.
Best for
- Analysts connecting data preparation to interactive business reports and repeatable analytical projects
