What it does

vMix creates, mixes, records and streams live productions on Windows, using inputs such as cameras, NDI, SRT, files and video calls.

List the sources the show needs before choosing a vMix edition: cameras, NDI or SRT feeds, files, remote calls and replay are separate demands on the setup. vMix mixes, switches, records and streams those sources on a Windows PC.

Basic HD is limited to four total inputs and three camera/NDI inputs at 1080p. The comparison lists one caller for HD, four for 4K and eight for Pro or MAX; replay coverage also differs by edition. Match the licence to the planned show, then use the hardware and system-requirement guides to size the machine.

Strengths

  • Many documented input types support mixed-source productions.
