What it does
Volumio combines music-source management with software for devices such as Raspberry Pi and its own streamers.
For a DIY player, download the image for your Raspberry Pi or supported x86 computer, write it to SD or USB and boot that device. Finish setup through the iOS/Android app or a browser at volumio.local. Volumio also sells assembled streamers.
Standard is free for local and NAS libraries, internet radio and playlists. Premium adds features such as native Qobuz/Tidal access and multiroom playback. Those integrations still require the music service’s own subscription where applicable.
