What it does

Waltio gathers crypto activity through read-only connections, wallet addresses and files, then provides transaction review and tax documents. A free account displays imported transactions; report downloads and real-time portfolio features require a paid plan, starting at €39 for a small annual history.

Create the account with your email and a password, then select its tax residence and language. Country selection matters: some regions receive local forms, while the International profile supplies calculations and supporting records for an adviser to map to the local return. That profile uses a selected US-dollar or euro base currency.

Add sources under My Accounts, using the connection guide for each exchange or wallet. On My Transactions, combine exchange, token, date, operation-type and warning filters to inspect the imported history. The correction page focuses on negative balances, missing prices and withdrawals needing a category.

Read the assumptions before accepting auto-correction. Waltio treats a negative calculated balance as zero without creating a missing transaction, and substitutes €0 for an unresolved token price. Its default treatment of an uncategorized withdrawal also differs between France and other countries. These shortcuts do not recover the absent information, so check the actual records when a warning matters to the result.

After review, use All Documents on the tax-report page. The report-year allowance includes non-taxable movements as well as trades. Lite is €39, Starter €99 for up to 1,000 annual transactions, Smart €249 for up to 10,000 and Unlimited €999. Confirm the applicable tier using the transaction count shown in your account.

Subscriptions renew on October 1, including when first purchased partway through the cycle. Earlier tax years cost extra and require a current active subscription. Download the documents you need before access expires; disabling renewal preserves access only until the current period ends.

Strengths

  • The stock sheet traces each asset’s entries, exits and year-end balance
  • File templates and manual entries cover sources without direct integration
  • Read-only connections do not require a wallet’s private keys

Watch out for

  • Automatic corrections can substitute zero for missing values instead of resolving them
  • International reports may require an adviser to map figures to local forms
  • Document downloads stop when the paid access period ends

Best for

  • Crypto users reviewing categorized records for a supported tax residence
  • People who need a per-asset history alongside their reporting documents
