What it does

WebHR combines employee records, attendance, leave and self-service. Its leave settings support separate accrual rules and multi-level approvals. A free tier serves up to five employees, while paid subscriptions add capacity and optional modules.

Define each leave type's accrual, carryover and entitlement cap before employees request time off. Approval routing can depend on the leave type, department, seniority or team, with a designated substitute when the usual manager is unavailable. Employees check balances and submit requests from mobile; managers can approve or deny them there. Team calendars help with coverage planning.

Size the subscription

Paid licenses are sold in groups of five. A 42-person team therefore needs the 45-person band. The base includes employee records, attendance, leave, documents and self-service. Payroll, recruiting, performance, signatures, forms, HR letters, benefits and scheduling are optional paid modules. Monthly and annual billing are available, and checkout confirms the estimate.

The continuing free tier covers five employees with limited access. Signup collects your contact information, then the company name and desired WebHR address. Once registered, users return through that company address. Only active employees count toward the paid subscription quota.

Strengths

  • Each leave type can use its own entitlement and carryover rules
  • Small teams can start with an ongoing five-employee free tier

Watch out for

  • Paid capacity is rounded up to the next five-person band
  • Payroll and several other modules cost extra

Best for

  • Small HR teams combining employee records and leave with selected add-ons
