What it does
Vivaldi Webmail is a hosted email service for active Vivaldi Community members. It offers standard client access, calendars and contacts, with a reputation requirement before qualifying new accounts can use mail.
Vivaldi Webmail is a hosted service, distinct from the mail client built into the Vivaldi browser. Its community overview lists IMAP/POP access, CalDAV calendars and CardDAV contacts, allowing use outside that browser.
Qualifying new accounts must first build community reputation; registering a Vivaldi account does not immediately provide a mailbox. The community policy describes automated malicious-content scanning and email metadata including sender/recipient addresses, incoming-source IPs and message times. It says email logs may be kept for up to three months.
Strengths
- The hosted mailbox supports standard email clients.
- CalDAV calendars and CardDAV contacts are included.
Watch out for
- Qualifying new accounts must build reputation before gaining webmail access.
- The policy describes metadata processing and automated message scanning for malicious activity.
Best for
