What it does
WebQC provides chemical tools including equation balancing, molar mass, gas laws, constants and a periodic-table reference.
WebQC's balancing tool takes a chemical equation and displays the balanced result below it. Element symbols are case-sensitive, and ionic charge follows the compound in curly brackets; electrons use e or {-}. The instructions recommend named immutable groups where an expanded formula creates ambiguity, and state labels are optional. After balancing, entering moles or mass for one compound calculates stoichiometric quantities; entering amounts for every reagent enables limiting-reagent highlighting. Those are coefficient-based quantities rather than measured reaction yields. The surrounding portal provides molar-mass, gas-law and reference tools. Its web application requires JavaScript.
