What it does

Webull combines investment accounts with charting, ETF screens, options measures and paperTrade simulation. Mobile, web and desktop interfaces support the research workflow. PaperTrade includes virtual funds, several order types and simulated account events, helping users inspect the mechanics before using real money.

Learn what an order does

PaperTrade supports market, limit, stop, stop-limit, one-cancels-the-other (OCO) and trailing-stop orders. Its Turbo Trader and Ladder Trader share mechanics with the live layout, while the simulation tracks margin, options exercises and other account events. Virtual funds can be reset. Check the distinct simulation theme before entering an order; simulated fills do not guarantee a live result.

ETF screens and option metrics answer different research questions from the chart indicators. Use a shortlist to identify a fund or contract before studying its price history.

US brokerage access and costs

US-listed stocks, ETFs and options have no commission. Certain index options cost US$0.50 per contract, and regulatory, exchange and other fees may apply. Outgoing stock transfers cost US$75; algorithmic equity order types have a separate per-share charge.

The US application requires age 18 or older, an SSN or ITIN, a US address and qualifying residence or visa status. Identification and tax documents must match the application. Options trading needs additional approval.

Strengths

  • Simulation includes multiple order types and resettable virtual funds
  • PaperTrade models margin and options account events

Watch out for

  • Simulated order results do not establish live execution outcomes
  • Certain index options, transfers and algorithmic orders carry charges

Best for

  • Eligible US investors learning chart and order mechanics
  • Users who want to compare strategies in a simulation workspace
