What it does
Wells Fargo offers account management, bill payments and transfers through its mobile app and online banking. Customers can link their accounts at other US institutions, then schedule and revise transfers. Everyday Checking has several ways to waive its monthly service fee.
A transfer between Wells Fargo accounts differs from linking an account at another institution. The external route requires setup and verification, which the bank says can take one to three business days. Complete that setup before relying on it for a time-sensitive transfer.
Set up and adjust transfers
Sign in to the transfer service and choose Add Non-Wells Fargo Accounts for an account you hold at another US bank. Once available, select the sending and receiving accounts, frequency, date and amount. Continue opens a review step; Submit confirms the instruction.
Future or recurring transfers can be changed online with View/Edit or removed with View/Delete under Transfer and payment Activity. In the app, open Transfer → Scheduled Transfers & Payments, select the instruction and choose Edit Transfer or Delete Transfer. The separate Bill Pay service schedules payments to US billers.
Everyday Checking fees
The account’s US$15 monthly service fee is waived in a fee period with any one of these: at least US$500 in qualifying electronic deposits, a US$1,500 minimum daily balance, US$5,000 in qualifying deposit and investment balances, a primary owner aged 17 to 24, or a qualifying military direct deposit. Cash withdrawals at Wells Fargo ATMs have no fee; other US ATMs cost US$3 per withdrawal, plus any operator charge.
Everyday Checking is available from age 17, but a 17-year-old must open it at a branch. The online route starts at 18 and requires identification, a US residential address and the applicable taxpayer details. Joint applications need both people’s information. After opening, mobile check deposit and online Bill Pay are included, while account service and transaction charges still apply.
