What it does
Wero supports person-to-person bank-account transfers and payments at participating online stores. Access comes through a member bank's app or the Wero app, depending on the bank. Wero charges no payment fee itself, although bank or merchant charges can apply.
Choose the bank account and recipient
Activate a Wero profile through your bank or the Wero app. Choose the account to pay from, select a contact or enter their mobile number, then enter the amount and an optional message. Both people need accounts that their banks have enabled for Wero.
Belgium, France and Germany are established markets for this transfer service. In Luxembourg, the move from Payconiq happens bank by bank: your bank tells you when to download Wero and connect the account. Some Luxembourg banks use their own app for sign-in; others use LuxTrust. New accounts go through a review and may be temporarily restricted while it is completed.
At an online checkout
Choose the Wero payment option at a participating shop. On a mobile device it opens the payment app; after approval, you return to the store. The Wero logo at checkout identifies a participating merchant.
Wero itself does not impose payment transaction fees. The connected bank may charge for some payments, and an online merchant may show an additional charge at checkout. Availability follows the bank and the particular payment service, so a bank logo on the general site does not establish that every feature is active.
