What it does
WeTransfer uploads files for recipients to download through an emailed transfer or a link you distribute yourself. It offers browser and mobile app workflows.
Add files and choose Email transfer for separate recipient emails and download confirmation, or Get a link to distribute the URL yourself. ZIP a folder first when its hierarchy matters, because ordinary folder upload can flatten it. Free accounts allow ten transfers or 3 GB total in a rolling thirty-day window, with up to three days of availability. Desktop email transfers allow ten Free recipients or fifty on paid plans; account-free mobile web allows three and requires email verification. Expiry ends ordinary download availability; eligible paid recovery must have been enabled. WeTransfer uploads copies, leaving the sender’s local originals in place.
Strengths
