What it does
WiseType offers retail typefaces, bespoke work and an in-use collection. Its trials include full characters and OpenType features, while production licensing uses company-size categories.
WiseType's trial OTF files include the complete character set and OpenType features. Open Trials, provide your details and accept the agreement to request them; newsletter signup is optional. You can use the files for internal evaluation and client proposals, but cannot pass them to clients or subcontractors. Variable formats are not part of the trial.
Production licensing is perpetual and based on the final beneficiary's total headcount. The standard Commercial licence covers organisations up to 70 employees, including their own websites, logos and eligible embedding uses. It also lets subcontractors work for that licence holder, provided they accept the terms and remove the fonts when the work ends. Companies above 70 employees and high-visibility artists or public figures need a custom agreement. The catalog ranges from compact releases such as Holger and Garamono to variable families including Skrappa and Saltburn.
