What it does

Gauge Chat is Gauge's AI visibility and answer-engine optimization product. It tracks prompts, competitors and citations and connects findings with content work and optional search or analytics integrations.

Find the page behind an AI recommendation

Sign in, enter your company name and website, then review Gauge's suggested competitors and questions. In Prompts, open an answer to see brand mentions and cited pages. You can begin without connecting Google Analytics or a CMS.

Open Citations to compare domains, then switch to URLs and inspect the prompts where a page appeared. Brand mention share describes brands on cited source pages, weighted by citation frequency. It differs from the share of AI answers mentioning your brand.

For your own cited page, choose SEO after connecting the relevant Search Console property. This adds queries, clicks and impressions, with GA4 landing-page data where available.

Growth and Enterprise

Growth is a monthly subscription with 600 daily prompts across ChatGPT, Google AI Mode and Microsoft Copilot, three seats and 18 articles per month. Enterprise expands tracking and reporting through a quote. Optional Claude and Grok tracking needs your own API keys; those providers bill the runs separately.

Strengths

  • Lets you open cited pages and the answers using them.
  • Adds connected Search Console and GA4 context for your own cited pages.

Watch out for

  • Growth has a fixed core-platform and seat allowance.
  • Optional Claude and Grok tracking needs separately billed provider access.

Best for

  • SEO teams tracing AI citations to individual pages and connected search outcomes
