What it does
PDF Squeezer compresses PDFs using preset or custom profiles. Its Mac workflow supports folders, side-by-side comparisons, and automation through Shortcuts, Automator, or a command line.
Drop PDFs or a folder into the Mac app, select a compression profile and compare the result beside the original before saving. Custom profiles can be shared and reused through Shortcuts, Automator or the command line. Some cleanup options remove form fields, links, annotations or the document structure tree, so choose them deliberately when those elements matter. The Mac page says processing stays on the device and requires macOS 11 or later; linked iOS and Windows variants have separate feature sets.
Strengths
- Provides comparison views and shareable compression profiles.
Watch out for
- Optional cleanup can remove form fields, links, annotations or document structure, so profile selection affects more than image size.
Best for
- Reducing batches of PDF attachments on Mac
