What it does

Wonderlic provides assessments of cognitive ability, personality and motivation. Select supports hiring through role-specific results and candidate comparisons, while Develop applies assessment insights to employee and team development.

In Select, create a job opening and use Find Scoring Profile to match its title with a role profile. Review that match before accepting it, because the profile determines how assessment results are interpreted for the job. Add the opening details, then invite candidates by email, an onsite code or a shareable application link.

Results appear as candidates finish the assessment components. The candidate list and individual detail page show the overall result, with separate ability, motivation and personality scores available for closer review. For a shortlist, select two to four people and choose Compare from Actions to see their results together. Use the breakdown to prepare interview questions about the actual work.

Candidate feedback is enabled by default in the documented job-creation flow. Its report differs from the employer's view, so review that setting when deciding how to communicate results. Select also offers job-specific user permissions: a hiring manager can receive access to assigned openings without becoming an account administrator.

Pricing depends on the package and employee count. Select packages include implementation, training and ongoing support; higher tiers add services such as strategy work or certification. Colleagues receive an invitation to create login credentials. The separate Develop area supports later employee-development conversations.

Strengths

  • Scoring profiles connect assessment interpretation with a specific job.
  • Hiring teams can compare a shortlist side by side and restrict access by job opening.

Watch out for

  • Candidate feedback is switched on by default in the documented job setup.
  • Side-by-side comparison is limited to four candidates at a time.

Best for

  • HR teams connecting role-specific assessment results with interviews and employee development
