What it does
Statify is a free WordPress plugin for pageview totals, referring sites and popular pages. Its dashboard uses a local database.
In Statify's dashboard widget, click Configure to change the period and number of listed pages or referrers. Results are cached for four minutes.
Retention is separate: two weeks by default, with older entries removed daily. Changing the displayed period does not delete history. Optional JavaScript tracking for cached pages needs the theme's wp_footer() hook.
Use your WordPress account to access the widget; no external analytics account is needed. The official repository supplies installation instructions and a GPL-3.0 licence. Install the stable WordPress.org release, or use its documented Composer route.
Strengths
- Stores counts in the site's WordPress database.
- Keeps display-period changes separate from data retention.
Watch out for
- Does not measure unique visitors.
- Cannot recover a referrer withheld by a browser or originating site.
Best for
- WordPress publishers who need a compact pageview report
