What it does
Worldpackers connects travellers with volunteer host projects such as hostels, farms, homestays and community initiatives. The platform provides traveller reviews, host discovery, community conversation and separate membership support features.
Compare the kind of host before narrowing the country. A hostel role and a farm project can involve different tasks, settings and daily schedules, even when both are described as volunteering. Worldpackers’ host-type categories make that distinction a useful starting point.
Read experience reviews for the particular project and discuss the arrangement with the host. The platform describes a double-blind review process and a way to talk with other travellers, which can help you investigate expectations. Its support and WP Safeguard offering has a separate explanation; examine those terms rather than treating a homepage promise as a complete protection policy. Build travel plans around the agreed project and its dates.
You can browse open positions before buying a plan, but applying and contacting hosts requires an active Trips, Pack or Pack Plus plan. Trip confirmations are limited to adults aged 18 or older, and individual hosts can set further requirements. Transport, visas and insurance remain the traveller’s arrangements.
