What it does
SlimStat Analytics provides visitor activity, traffic-source, geographic and device reports within WordPress. A free self-hosted plugin supplies the core reports, while Pro adds capabilities such as heatmaps, exports, email reports and broader analysis.
SlimStat keeps WordPress traffic reports in the site's database. The free plugin needs no external account and includes one active goal; Pro adds full visual heatmaps, exports, scheduled reports and more goals.
To measure a completed inquiry, open SlimStat > Goals & Funnels, choose the action and configure a matching page or event. Save it, make an eligible visit through your site's consent flow and complete the action once. Check the goal with dates that include the visit. A telephone-link click records the click, not a connected call.
Pro supports five active goals and three funnels of two to five steps. The Landing to thank-you template offers a starting point for a form journey. Test both a completed route and one that ends early.
Installing Pro
Update the core to SlimStat Free 6 before activating Pro 3. Deactivate old standalone add-ons, then upload and activate the Pro ZIP from your account. Keep both Free and Pro active. Paste the key under SlimStat > Pro > Manage your license, save and check its status; validation needs an outbound HTTPS connection.
| Annual Pro license | Sites |
|---|---|
| 1 Site | 1 |
| 5 Sites | 5 |
| Unlimited | Unlimited |
Every paid license includes the same Pro features and one year of updates and support. There is no pageview quota, although the site's hosting and database capacity still matter.
Strengths
- Provides local WordPress traffic reports with configurable filters.
- Pro adds exports and the option to use a separate compatible database.
Watch out for
- Spreadsheet exports and custom funnels require Pro.
- Pro 3 needs the Free 6 core active; legacy standalone add-ons must be deactivated.
Best for
- WordPress owners maintaining local visitor reports and controlled report access
