What it does

WP Statistics collects traffic in the WordPress site's own database and reports visitors, sources, locations and content performance. Premium add-ons extend it to individual authors, custom content types, campaigns, events and scheduled reporting.

WP Statistics runs on your own WordPress installation without an external analytics account. After activating the plugin, check WordPress's date and time settings and configure the plugin, including its first geographic database download.

For a landing-page check, open Statistics > Visitor Insights and choose the dates at the top. The bounce-rate card summarizes the site; Top Entry Pages shows the rate for each landing page. Open a post under Statistics > Content Analytics for its own entry-visit result. WP Statistics groups visits by visitor and calendar day, and a reload counts as another pageview. Its bounce rate therefore has a different basis from a session-based measure.

The core plugin is free with unlimited sites and traffic. Premium includes custom post types and taxonomies, individual-author analysis, campaign and goal reports, and REST API access. Selected add-ons can also be purchased separately. The pricing page marks special introductory prices and says renewals use full prices.
