What it does
WPForms builds WordPress forms for enquiries, registrations and payments. The free Lite plugin handles basic collection, while paid editions add conditional questions, uploads, entry management and more integrations. Payment transactions can include a WPForms platform fee as well as the processor's charges.
Begin in the WordPress dashboard
Install and activate WPForms Lite, then open WPForms > Add New to create a form. Core Lite use does not need a separate vendor account. Paid licences add form tools and integrations for more involved requests.
A service-order form can show different questions after a visitor chooses a service. Conditional logic also changes confirmation messages or routes notifications to the appropriate team. Basic and higher include these rules and file uploads.
Licences and payment fees
| Paid plan | Licensed sites | Main distinction |
|---|---|---|
| Basic | 1 | Entry management, uploads and conditional logic |
| Plus | 3 | More email marketing connections |
| Pro | 5 | Additional payment and survey tools |
| Elite | Unlimited | Premium CRM connections and webhooks |
Paid licences are annual, with introductory discounts separate from regular prices. Free or inactive-licence payments carry a 3% platform fee. An active Pro or Elite licence removes the WPForms fee, while processor fees remain. That difference matters when a form regularly collects deposits or payments.
