What it does
Slim SEO handles common WordPress SEO output with limited configuration, including metadata, structured data and XML sitemaps. It also provides redirects, breadcrumbs and image-alt handling, with additional tools in Pro.
Slim SEO uses WordPress content to generate common search metadata automatically. A post's excerpt or content supplies its default description; category descriptions supply taxonomy metadata. Social previews inherit those details and the featured image. The free plugin also covers sitemaps, breadcrumbs and redirects.
Install it from Plugins > Add New by searching for Slim SEO, then activate it. Core operation does not need a separate vendor account. The automatic defaults suit a small publication whose editors prefer to make targeted corrections rather than configure a large settings panel.
Pro adds a visual schema builder, internal-link and orphan-page reports, broken-link tools and Search Console reporting. Its annual USD prices are 59 for one site, 119 for ten, and 179 for unlimited sites. Renewals use the same price and include another year of updates and support.
The unlimited licence excludes enterprises, hosting providers, SaaS products and site-maintenance providers, which require custom terms. AI metadata generation also needs a key from a supported AI provider, so free plugin access does not include that provider's usage charges.
