What it does
X-Cart focuses on automotive parts commerce. Shoppers can search by vehicle, use VIN lookup or save vehicles in My Garage. Merchants manage parts specifications and fitment data, connect warehouse distributors and sell through Amazon or eBay Motors alongside their own store.
An automotive part needs a vehicle relationship as well as a name and price. X-Cart combines vehicle search with parts data, distributor stock and order routing. Its product information tools hold details such as wheel offset or truck bed size; Core Charge handles refundable deposits on remanufactured parts.
Import the vehicles that a part fits
Prepare a CSV with the product SKU and vehicle details. Use a separate row for each product and vehicle combination, including make, model, year and submodel. Save the file as fitmentvalues.csv for current versions. In Catalog > Import & Export > CSV Import, choose Import, select the file in Upload files and start the import.
A year range only creates fitments for the relevant vehicles available in the store. Changing the default vehicle structure can also disrupt imports from catalogue providers and distributors that expect its four levels. Accurate supplier data therefore remains part of the merchant's setup work.
Subscription and launch support
The Automotive subscription is billed monthly, with pricing based on annual sales volume and any customization beyond standard functionality. Four one-hour onboarding calls are included, involving customer success and technical support.
Distributor connections can route orders to a supplier with stock, while marketplace connections synchronize inventory and orders. API and front-end code access allow further integration and design work.
Store administration requires an account. Use the store's direct admin address when the storefront is closed for maintenance, since the ordinary storefront sign-in route may then be unavailable.
