What it does
Xaman manages XRP Ledger and Xahau accounts on iOS and Android. Ordinary wallet use is free; selected swaps, deposits and large payments carry service fees alongside network costs.
Xaman uses secret numbers when creating a new XRP Ledger account. Open Settings, Accounts, Add account and Create a new account. Preserve the eight labeled rows, A through H, with six digits in each row, then re-enter the requested numbers to confirm the backup. The resulting public address begins with r.
The setup offers two signing arrangements. Standard Security uses the app passcode or biometrics; Extra Security adds a separate signing password. Give the account a recognizable label before returning to the main screen. Creation alone does not activate it: the first deposit must cover the ledger’s 1 XRP reserve, which is unavailable for ordinary spending while the account remains active.
The fee panel matters when moving beyond basic transfers. Xaman currently charges 0.8% for token swaps, liquidity-pool deposits and withdrawals, and market trades. Supported yield deposits cost 0.5%; routed payments using pathfinding cost 0.15 XRP. Payments above USD 50,000 incur 0.1%, falling to 0.07% above USD 100,000, with matching sender-recipient activity aggregated over twelve hours.
Receiving, ordinary sends below that threshold and several account-maintenance actions remain free of Xaman’s service charge. On the review screen, Network & Service Fee and its information icon separate the wallet charge from the ledger cost.
Keep each account’s backup identifiable. A label helps organize the interface but cannot replace its secret numbers. XRP and other held assets can lose value independently of whether a transfer succeeds.
