What it does

Yapily provides open-banking infrastructure for single, scheduled, recurring and bulk bank payments, alongside financial-data products. Its network serves UK and European integrations, with bank and product availability varying by market. Console registration and sandbox testing are free; live commercial pricing is tailored to the business.

In Console, open Applications and Create Application, name the integration and download its identifier and secret. For the documented test setup, select the application, open Connected Institutions and Add Institutions, then add Modelo Sandbox and register it with the preconfigured credentials.

The UK single-payment tutorial first checks which connected banks support that payment type. The authorization request includes the bank, return address, amount, currency, payee account and a payment reference. Redirect the customer to approve it with their bank, then use the returned consent token to submit the matching payment.

A Pending result needs further monitoring. Yapily recommends automatic webhook notifications at scale. Completed means that the bank accepted the initiation request, rather than proving that funds reached the recipient; a later processing problem can still change the result to Failed. Settlement follows the bank's payment system, such as UK Faster Payments or a Single Euro Payments Area transfer.

Hosted Pages provides another route when you want Yapily to supply the customer screens. Its documentation currently describes a beta limited to single payments, with access arranged through the customer-success manager. The published hosted-payment markets are the UK, Germany, Lithuania, the Netherlands, Belgium, Spain, France, Austria and Portugal. Ask for the appropriate product coverage and contract charges before planning a wider rollout.

Strengths

  • Hosted Pages supports matching the payment interface to the business brand.
  • Data Plus adds transaction categorization and enrichment when a financial-data workflow is also needed.

Watch out for

  • New applications have Hosted Pages scope only; bulk, scheduled, periodic and international payments require Direct API access enabled by support.
  • The application secret cannot be retrieved again; losing it requires replacement and invalidates requests using the revoked secret.

Best for

  • Developers implementing bank-payment consent and status handling
  • Payment platforms connecting different European bank capabilities
