What it does

Yellowfin combines business intelligence, embedded dashboards, natural-language exploration, automated signals and data storytelling. It supports both internal analysis and analytics delivered within another application.

Yellowfin combines interactive analysis with dashboards, automated signals and presentations that place charts alongside commentary. It can serve an internal reporting team or supply analytics inside another application.

Choose Create > Report to open the report builder. Drag-and-drop reporting uses an existing data view, where the source's business logic has already been defined. Other routes include a SQL query, permitted CSV uploads or imported Jasper and BIRT report definitions. Creation rights depend on the user's role. The ad hoc option opens the advanced builder; an unpublished draft is discarded when the session ends. Preview can run and export the full result without publishing it.

Embedded pricing is quoted using one of several commercial arrangements:

Model Charging basis
Utility Application, site or device usage
Revenue Share Revenue from the analytical add-on
Server Core Licensed server capacity

Yellowfin can be self-managed or vendor-managed. A 30-day trial uses your own data. Deployment requires signing into the server with an administrator account and changing the initial password.
