What it does
Yubico Authenticator provides verification-code access with credentials held on a compatible YubiKey and apps for desktop and mobile platforms.
Yubico Authenticator generates codes from credentials stored on a YubiKey, so replacing a phone does not move the credential store. Connect or tap the key on a supported device to use those accounts. Plan a spare key during enrollment: Yubico's OATH guide says both keys need the same QR code or setup secret. If that material is no longer available, the guide calls for re-enrolling the primary and spare together through the account's setup process. Passkeys use a different spare-key registration route. Keep the original services' recovery options available in case the key is lost.
