What it does
Zamzar converts documents, audio, video, ebooks, archives, and CAD files. Its browser interface accepts local files, URLs, and several connected storage sources.
Select the source files, choose the output format, and start the job; an optional email notification helps with conversions that do not finish immediately. The same catalogue covers office documents and less common legacy formats, so check the format list before installing a dedicated application. The reviewed interface states a 50 MB free-file limit and directs larger files to paid accounts.
The free service allows two files per 24 hours. Paid web accounts remove that daily conversion count but retain plan-specific size limits: Basic accepts 200 MB, Pro 400 MB, and Business 2 GB. Desktop allowances differ from the website. Zamzar says free converted files remain for at most 24 hours; paid files stay until the owner deletes them, with earlier deletion available.
