What it does
Zen combines a Firefox-derived browsing base with workspaces, split view and a published policy describing telemetry removal and Mozilla-based sync.
Zen uses workspaces and split view to organize Firefox-derived browsing. Its privacy policy says it removes Firefox telemetry and crash reporting, while also acknowledging that some inherited Mozilla collection may remain. Startup requests for updates, connectivity, add-ons and other browser functions are separate; the policy points to about:config for controlling them.
Cookies, cache and preferences are stored locally and can be cleared through settings. Optional Sync uses Mozilla's infrastructure for encrypted bookmarks, history, passwords and other selected data; Zen says it cannot view that content. Choose sync separately from local profile use. The desktop source is licensed under MPL 2.0, with dependencies and services retaining their own terms.
