What it does
ZendTo is a self-hosted web transfer system with chunked uploads, checksums, single-use links and integration with existing authentication systems.
Run ZendTo on an organization-controlled Linux or Unix server and use browser drop-offs or requests for files too large for email. Uploads are chunked, with checksum and single-use-link features available. Selecting Encrypt every file prompts for a passphrase; the recipient enters it when first downloading. The encryption guide explicitly places encryption and decryption on the ZendTo server, with the passphrase sent over HTTPS, so this is not browser-only encryption. Administrators can enforce encryption, cap encrypted drop-off size and set retention. The software is free; storage, reachable hosting and maintenance belong to the operator.
