What it does

Judge.me collects and displays product and store reviews for Shopify merchants, including photo and video submissions. Review-request tools, storefront widgets, replies and integrations support the workflow from gathering customer feedback to showing it on product pages.

For a Shopify Online Store 2.0 theme, open Online Store, Themes and Edit theme. Enable Judge.me under App embeds and save. Then select Products, Default product, choose Add section, open Apps and add Review Widget. Position the block and save again. Both the embed and block are needed.

If reviews appear twice, remove the duplicate block. Sample reviews shown while editing stay out of the live shop. A dashboard link containing judgeme_review_uuid displays one specific review; remove that parameter to inspect the complete list. Vintage themes use a different installation method.

Forever Free includes unlimited product, store, photo and video reviews, widgets, badges and review imports. Awesome costs USD 15 every thirty days and adds wider integrations, Google Shopping, more display options and fuller design control. Its fifteen-day trial lets a merchant evaluate those additions while a continuing free package remains available.

The app is managed through the merchant's Shopify admin account.

Strengths

  • The free plan includes photo and video reviews without a review-count cap
  • Product-page widgets and review requests support the full merchant review workflow

Watch out for

  • Online Store 2.0 display needs both the app embed and Review Widget block
  • Broader integrations and full customization require Awesome

Best for

  • Shopify merchants collecting product feedback and configuring its storefront display
